Happily married pair of horses to be rehomed together
Pair of horses to be rehomed together. These horses are NOT available individually. Sorry, no exceptions.
Suitable as companions or occasional hacking - not currently in work, so will need slowly bringing back into riding.
Willie 15.3 (24years) and Holly 15.2 (22 years) like living in a herd and enjoy being together.
They need a field size of a minimum of 6 acres and the company of other horses. They don't mind going out for short hacks separately once they are settled and in a routine, but need to live together the rest of the time.
They both live out 24/7 all year and this lifestyle suits them and keeps them mobile. They don't mind coming in occasionally.
Holly is arthritic sometimes and only suitable for light hacking. There are some occasions when she is too stiff and needs time off. She is forward going but sensible. Maximum rider weight 12 stone.
Willie has been out of ridden work for a couple of years, he will need slowly reintroducing to riding and his fitness building up. He would not tolerate being pushed and pulled about by a novice and requires an easy going, balanced, confident and sensitive rider. Maximum rider weight 10 stone.
Both horses are good in traffic and to trim, rug up etc. Both can be bargy on the ground when stressed so need to go to a home with plenty of experience and who will listen to them.
