Planning Meeting Update

We attended the North York Moors National Park Authority Planning Committee meeting this morning to ask questions and raise the concerns so many of you have shared with us.
Unfortunately, they refused to read out or even show our letter to the committee, along with dozens of letters of support and pages of petition signatures submitted by our incredible supporters. When we asked our prepared questions during the meeting, we were told there would be no verbal response, and that we would receive a written reply at some point in the future.
The Authority made it clear they will still pursue the full £41,000 in legal costs against the charity and two of its volunteer trustees, and if we don’t pay within days, they will take further legal action, including the possibility of contempt of court proceedings and additional costs.
They are fully aware we’re a small charity managed entirely by volunteers, yet continue to push ahead with legal threats instead of offering to talk to us or agree on a reasonable payment schedule.
We are not giving up. But we need your support more than ever.
We’ll be posting a link shortly to the full timeline and documents on our website so you can see everything for yourself. [UPDATE: The full story is here]
Thank you for standing with us.
